About meI started off when I was a young boy at 14 years old and my first climb was in the National Cadet Corps, where I climbed Mount Ophir, also known as Gunung Ledang (1276m).
Having graduated as the pioneer batch of Outdoor and Adventure Diploma in 2009, I have been leading expeditions and climbing in various locations around the world. Now, I feel that I am ready for the big one. To know more about my life. I am a graduate of Nanyang Technological University with a degree in Sport Science And Management and will be preparing for my climb of Everest in 2017. |
The dream of everest |
When I was 15, I was part of a school program to climb Mount Kinabalu (4095m) in Sabah, Malaysia. I still remember when I had reached the summit, I was extremely exhausted but there was one thought in my mind. "What if I could climb the highest peak in the world? Mount Everest."
To know more about my climbing life, check out my blog here. However, I was not even halfway to the top of Everest, let alone seen it with my own eyes. The only picture I saw of it was through the internet and through a book I read about the first Singapore Everest Expedition in 1998. Everest stands at 8848m and with that thought in mind, I made my way down. 10 years later, I'm about to embark on this 2-year mission to climb to the top of the world. Join me on this journey. |
for cancer |
About 30% of people will be struck by cancer every year in Singapore.
Nobody wants to be hit by cancer. Nobody wants to fight cancer. Nobody wants to go through chemotherapy and its tough treatments. However, it strikes anyone and then the tough struggle really starts. I aim to represent that tough struggle that cancer patients face. I aim to raise funds for this cancer patients. I aim to provide a financial backup for people who cannot afford to pay for these treatments. The two cancers that I will be raising funds for are the top two cancers in Singapore which are Colon-Rectal and Breast Cancer.
